Susan G. Komen Takes to Twitter for Defense

When it rains it rains it pinks. I mean pours.

As Susan G. Komen works to restore its image after a back-and-forth regarding Planned Parenthood funding, the company committed to “saving women’s lives” battles another potential PR disaster.

Discount Gun Sales claimed, falsely, it had partnered with Komen to sell a pink handgun. Already under fire for the Planned Parenthood decision/reversal, the company took to social media to distance itself from the handgun manufacturer.

What’s impressive is the number of tweets that were replies, even if the response was a stock message with a link to official partners.

Komen also defended its mission on Facebook:
