More proof the Mayans didn’t know what they were talking about: You can now schedule Facebook posts as far ahead as early 2013.
I noticed the 2013 option on the schedule post feature Thursday afternoon. I tested it this morning, and the latest possible time I was able to set a post was for Jan. 2, 2013 at 9:20 a.m.
So maybe that’s when the world is going to end? Although Facebook only allows posts to be scheduled in 10-minute intervals, so I suppose it’s possible the world could end as late as 9:29 a.m. that morning, but that could be overly optimistic.
Here’s how the scheduled post looks in the activity log:
Facebook hasn’t updated its blog since January, and I can’t find any other info on the change. If you know why this odd, limited change has taken place, please share. Or if you can find a good reason to schedule a post for the first two days of 2013, I would love to hear it.
